From the moderator: Duplicate usernames

FYI -

I have removed a total of 14 messages from three different usernames this afternoon due to the three accounts being controlled by one person.

The accounts with the deleted messages are:
WhenPigsFly
BigBadWolf
WhiningandComplaining

We have been in contact with the individual we believe owned these usernames and have indicated the accounts and related messages have been removed.

The Telegraph forums do allow the use of anonymous names or nicknames for posting messages. However, it is widely considered inappropriate to use multiple accounts in an effort to create a false impression of support for a particular point of view in an online discussion.

This phenomenon is known as sockpuppeting and the behavior will result in termination of the duplicate accounts and messages.

That was what I wrote to you last week about this issue and I'm not certain if those are the user names that were involved when you mentioned the fraudulent activity at that time, but I am glad to know that you are on top of it now and that sort of abuse will not be tolerated.

I can assure you absolutely that

no one

on the Telegraph staff has descended from the true Mount Olympus.

And, if you have allowed the Telegraph yoyos to control your thoughts for even a split second, you have serious trust issues that should be resolved before you post another word.

And finally, I can assure you that I have personally seen pigs flying outdoors, in the UK a number of times and, more recently in Washington, D.C. in 1994 at the last US Pink Floyd concert.

The remains of the pig I have seen fly can be seen flying indoors at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester on November 2, 2007 during the Australian Pink Floyd concert.

I am extremely jealous of your seeing the Wall tour. "The Floyd" as we used to call them were huge when I was in high school. The Aussie Floyd thing looked good on TV a few weeks ago....

We're way off topic here but I saw APF last year at the Verizon. They played almost 3 hours and did a finale of Comfortably Numb that was about 12 minutes long.

Thinking seriously of investing in a camcorder and going back again. Found out last year the Verizon lets you take cameras in, you just can't use flash during the show.

Lead guitar players came to the balcony and signed CDs, DVDs shirts, etc. for quite a while after the show. Souvenir prices were quite good.

Speaking of sockpuppets, what happened to MichaelEdward? Remember him? We used to have such great "man to moonbat" discussions.... He had 425 posts and then disappeared on September 27th. I think he was just a sockpuppet of some other liberal on this forum....

In my opinion, michaeledward was most likely not a sockpuppet. He had a unique style. I'm guessing that these forums were a source of aggravation and frustration, and not worth the time to him. Or he may still be tuning in, but opting to not get into entaglements that he feels are a waste of time.

Just my opinion.

I could be wrong, but then again, I'm not often wrong. :lol:

The abrupt stop is a red flag. It's been 6 weeks since his last post and he never went more than a couple of days before.... It happened about the same time the moderator cracked down on the sockpuppeting...
